Plant Engineer - Aerospace
Under general direction of management, the Specialist Facilities Engineer determines optimal approaches to implement projects to meet objectives supporting the clients programs and operations. Incumbent will perform Project Management with various facility related projects including HVAC, Plant infrastructure, process Equipment, compressed gas delivery, power distribution, utilities, chemical abatement, and control systems. Position requires engineering experience and knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts and their application to facility systems.
Duties include independently managing facility/manufacturing projects form scoping through construction. Job requires planning, conducting, and directing projects or major phases of significant protect assignment, coordinating the efforts of support staff in the performance of assigned activities necessary to complete projects. Incumbent will also monitor and control various program and non-program related budgets. Provide progress status reports to stakeholders and management on a regular basis. Typical process flow and responsibilities include;
lead the planning and implementation of project
facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
define project tasks and resource requirements
develop full scale project plans
assemble and coordinate project staff
manage project budget
manage project resource allocation
plan and schedule project timelines
Develop Contingency plans for schedule budget issues
track project deliverables using appropriate metrics
provide direction and support to project team
quality assurance review
constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders and management
present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
project commissioning and customer handoff
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
