Full-time hours are 1p - 9:

The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) / Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAACD) is a key member of the Clinical Team and participates in a collaborative treatment environment with psychologists, physicians, therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and addiction counselors.
Working in close collaboration with Licensed Therapists, the CADC or LAADC conducts screenings and assessments to help ensure appropriate patient admissions; collaborates on treatment planning and referrals; and provides counseling and information to patients and family members.
Responsibilities:
Meets with patients to obtain personal information and medical histories and consults with other professionals to get a clear picture of the patient's status and treatment needs.
Participates with Therapist in development, documentation, and review of treatment plans individualized to each patient.
Facilitates and co-facilitates individual and group counseling sessions and document observations Educates patients about community-based organizations and social and employment services that may help restore them to productive roles in the community.
Maintains case histories and progress reports.
Participate in treatment program modifications based on observation and feedback.
Participates in discharge planning and case management duties as assigned.
Assists with light cleaning, patient transportation, patient medications, and other duties as assigned.

Ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions alone or working collaboratively with others to ultimately have a positive impact on patients, team, and Yellow Wood Recovery.
Ability to plan, maintain, and complete multiple tasks and objectives in a timely manner.
Attention to detail.
Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft applications, such as email, Word, and Teams.
Working understanding of how to use current healthcare technology, such as electronic record-keeping software.
Flexibility to work adjusted work schedule as necessary to complete job responsibilities in a timely manner and to completion.
Reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient mental and physical strength, agility, and endurance to perform during physically, mentally, and emotionally stressful situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well-being or that of their fellow employees, or patients.
Education &
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) Minimum 2 years' experience in Drug and Alcohol Counseling Minimum 2 years free from chemical use problems Must possess a valid License and/or Certification in drug and alcohol counseling through an approved Department of Health Care licensing board.
Must possess a personal cell phone for communicating with staff.
Stipend provided.
