A government agency is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide technical administrative support to the Accessible Services department specific processing functions.
This is accomplished by collecting, interpreting, entering, tracking and processing department specific information; responding to various inquiries by researching and reviewing department policies, coordinating and gathering information and drafting responses; typing, printing, and distributing departmental correspondence, tracking and recording information and preparing reports; copying, scanning, and faxing documents, managing databases, and administering procurement activities.
Public sector or government experience helpful.
Working on site.
Responsibilities:
Assigning and distributing ADA applications to Eligibility Specialists and tracking application details in the Application Distribution Spreadsheet.
Entering and tracking ADA reporting data into the ACCESS databases.
Returning incomplete new and renewal applications and noting info in both Customer Contact database & AS database.
Assembling ADA reminder packets (reminder letter, return envelope and renewal app) for outgoing mail.
Performing front desk reception.
Providing ADA application requests via email, mail, in person or fax.
Reviewing GM Daily Reports for priority seating incidents, requesting video and reviewing the video for operator compliance.
Maintaining GM Daily Reporting Spreadsheets.
Prepares for internal or external meetings or training sessions by coordinating arrangements and preparing meeting materials, finalizing presentation materials, and scheduling, attending, and taking minutes of meetings; preparing information meeting packets, agendas, etc; distributing meeting agendas and minutes.
Requirements:
One to five years of technical administrative office support experience.
Six months or one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
MS Office Suite experience, especially formatting within Word and Excel Able to type 50 wpm and Typing Certificate preferred.
Good Communication skills #INDSTW.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
