currently has an opening for a Payroll Assistant to join our expanding team in the Sacramento areas! For over two decades, City Wide has been a trusted partner for ownership, and property & facility managers throughout California, providing commercial properties with first-class maintenance and service repairs.
As a Payroll Assistant, your responsibilities would include entering payroll data, processing new hire paperwork, and making changes related to tax withholding and employee benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES Gathering and analyzing timesheets to ensure accuracy.
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into payroll software as well as gathering data when necessary Entering approved annual and sick leave Preparing and distributing hard copy or electronic paychecks Performing all tasks well before the pay run to ensure that staff members are compensated and notified on time.
Addressing questions about payroll-related issues with Payroll Specialist.
Driving to resolve discrepancies in payments in an urgency.
Work directly with HR on worker's compensation, sick leave, disability issues, and payments Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as Payroll Assistant Familiar with payroll software Excellent data entry, data cleaning, and math skills Knowledge of legislation and procedures pertaining to salary deductions Capable of keeping track of multiple tasks Devoted to all ethical guidelines and confidentiality.
Great time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Great attention to detail Administrative and organization skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong sense of integrity Job Type:
