Maintains front visitor/patient area professional and presentable.
Responsibilities Check patients in and after visit occasionally check-out, answer multi-line inbound phone calls, screen and transfer to appropriate extension if not scheduling related.
Schedule patient follow up / registrar new patient appointments.
Collect accurate and detailed messages for providers/staff.
Handle outgoing faxes.
Pend medication refill request.
Scan documents into EHR /Assist with EHR In-basket management for appointment requests.
Enroll patients in MHO portal to access medical records.
Manage difficult situations constructively and seek appropriate assistance when necessary.
Minimum Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience working in a medical office High School diploma, GED or equivalent Knowledge of health insurance, PPO, HMO plans Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Excellent professional, organizational, and communication skills a must Knowledge of EPIC EMR a plus Multi-tasked Able to perform basic mathematics for payment calculation Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Job Type:
